Dating from the 1950s, this vintage replica of an Edwardian perpetual calendar is in fine condition. The glass front features rose transfers. The day, date and month scroll on wooden rollers.
Item Description
Part of the British made Veteran Series of curios, this particular item, we know from handwriting on the base (see picture), was given as a birthday gift in 1957. ‘Frank’ will doubtless have been delighted!
The Edwardian originals had the day, date and month printed onto fabric. This replica has paper scrolls which are in excellent condition, protected in the wood and glass fronted case. It is just a nice item to have – simple, functional, charming, and marvellously redolent of a bygone era.
